What we do

Land clearing, excavation, and dirt work for every size job.

Why Hillmann

The crew you hire once and call again.

One family-owned crew, the right equipment, and a lot of respect for the ground. Here's what hiring Hillmann actually looks like.

We know North Texas dirt

Blackland prairie clay, limestone shelves, cedar breaks, sandy bottoms. We've worked it all across DFW, and the approach changes with the ground. That's where experience earns its keep.

Clean work sites

A finished job should look finished. Brush mulched or hauled, ruts leveled, access lanes repaired, mulch spread flat. You should be able to walk the lot in boots when we leave.

Honest quotes, fast answers

On-site estimates and fixed-scope pricing. No surprise add-ons once the machines are running. Family-owned means your email gets answered the same day.

Straight answers before you hire us.

The questions we get most from Dallas-area property owners, builders, and ranchers. If yours isn't here, email us.

Dallas, Collin, Denton, and Rockwall counties. That covers Dallas proper plus Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Allen, Richardson, Garland, Carrollton, Prosper, Celina, Little Elm, The Colony, Wylie, Rockwall, Addison, Flower Mound, and everything in between. If your lot is within roughly 45 miles of Dallas, we're on it.
Short version: if your lot is covered in trees, brush, cedar, or mesquite, start with land clearing or forestry mulching. If the trees are already gone but the dirt isn't level, flat, or draining right, that's grading and pad site work. Not sure? Send a photo and we'll tell you straight.
Yes. Fully insured for general liability and workers' comp, with certificates available on request. We pull any permits the job actually needs, and we don't start until the paperwork's right.
We come out and walk the site with you. You tell us what you want the lot to look like when we leave. We send back a fixed-scope written quote with line items, a timeline, and the rules for any change orders. No surprise add-ons once the machines are rolling.
Typical lead time is one to three weeks from quote to first day on the ground, faster when the schedule allows. Urgent work before a build start or closing? Email us and we'll do what we can.
All three. Custom home builders and developers for pad sites, grading, and utility trenching. Ranchers for pasture restoration, cedar and mesquite work, and fence-line clearing. Homeowners for lot clearing, driveway cuts, pool and barn demo, and drainage fixes. The crew and equipment don't change based on who's signing the check.
